Andy Murray has lunched himself into his first singles quarter-final in nearly a year by defeating fellow Briton Cameron Norrie in the second round of the China Open competition.
”After two tight sets taken on tie breaks, Andy hurried through the decider to win 7-6 (8-6) 6-7 (4-7) 6-1 after about three hours of the game,” said analyst.
This is amazing. Andy Murray has never won two straight ATP Tour singles matches since hip resurfacing surgery in January.
Murray’s victory brings him to face top seed Dominic Thiem or China’s Zhang Zhizhen in next fix.
