Last night saw Man Utd qualifying for a spot in the knockout stage of the Europa League by winning 3-0 to Partizan Belgrade. Not only that, but they managed to extend their unbeaten streak in the League to 15, bringing them just 3 short of Chelsea’s record 18.
The match was filled with non-stop action from the beginning right until the final whistle. From the onset the spectators were given a taste of the kind of exhilarating football they were about to witness throughout the rest of the game .

Barely 2 minutes into the game, Man Utd’s Anthony Martial found the back of the net, but the goal was disallowed due to an offside. 2 minutes later at the other side of the pitch, a clearance from Harry Maguire that rebounded off Partizan forward Umar Sadiq, saw the ball volleying over the head of goalkeeper Sergio Romero, finding its way into the Man Utd goals. Fortunately for United, the goal was also disallowed due to the offside flag being raised.
8 minutes into the game saw United’s Marcus Rashford’s shot on goals blocked by Partizan keeper Vladimir Stojkovic. United’s persistence finally paid off as Mason Green managed to find the back of the net in the 21st minute. Then later around the 32nd minute, Anthony Martial , with a wonderful display of solo skill, danced his way around 3 of Partizan’s defenders and score his 5th goal of the season in 9 appearances. This goal sent Man Utd into the half time break leading 2-0 to Partizan
A few minutes after the start of the second half, Marcus Rashford was able to pummel the ball off his left foot, into the back of the Partizan net, thanks to a lovely assist from Ashley Young. 3 minutes later saw another goal scoring oppotunity present itself for the United side as Ashley Young took a free kick from the edge of the Partizan penalty area. Unfortunately, he narrowly missed his targetinstead sending the ball just wide of the goal.

The game ended with Manchester United beating the visitors 3-0 after an impressive 90 minutes of play. They are now currently top of the Group L table with just a win against AZ Alkmaar on 12 December needed to ensure them a guaranteed spot in the last 32, irregardless of the outcome of their next away game in Kazakhstan against Astana.
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who was thoroughly impressed by the “high class” performance of his front three, went on to describe the game as a “template” of how the United squad should play for the rest of the season.
A much deserved outcome for a wonderful display of football from the Manchester United squad in their race to become Europa League champions.
