Arsene Wenger has returned to football ending months of speculation over the ex-Arsenal managers future. FIFA have hired Arsene as their new Chief of Global Football Development. This appointment finally puts to rest rumors of him being linked to Bayern Munich as their next manager.

Wenger has been appointed as chairman of FIFA’s Technical Study Group and will also be a member of the International Football Association technical panel Not only will he be dealing with the technical aspects of football but will also be tasked with the development of both men’s and women’s football.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino went on to say :

“Arsene’s profound knowledge and passion for the different aspects of our game sets him apart as one of the most respected personalities in football.”

Arsene Wenger who has been at the helm of Arsenal for the past 22 years, left his position there as manager in 2018. He led Arsenal though 1,235 games with 707 wins since 1996.
