Nadal, who is also playing  in the ATP Final, has two major obstacles to achieve should he wish to join Federer in the semi’s. Firstly he has to win his face-off encounter today against Greek player Tsitsipas and even after that his hopes of proceeding to the next round all lie on Daniil Medvedev beating Alexander Zverev in their match. If Medvedev wins the game, then Nadal is automatically kick out of the tournament even if he wins his match against Tsitsipas.

Should Nadal proceed to the next round of the tournament, he will be facing Federer in the semi’s.
