Spain end their Euro 2020 qualifying group campaign with an impressive win over their opposition Romania as they finish top of Group F with 26 points, 5 points ahead of Sweden who are ranked 2nd.
Spain, who continued their dominating performance in the group, beat Romania 5-0 in their last match of the qualifying round of the Euro’s.
Fabian Ruiz scored the first goal of the match for Spain in the 8th minute of play with a shot off his left foot which guided the ball to the bottom left corner of the Romanian goals.
An assist from Sant Cazorla to Gerard Moreno led to the Spanish forward to header the ball into the goal from the center of the box pushing Spain forward with a 2-0 lead over their opponents.
Moreno scored his second goal of the game and Spain’s third in the 43rd minute of play with a close range shot on goal thanks to an assist from team mate José Gayá.
An own goal by Romanian Adrian Rus two minutes later sent the Spaniards going into the halftime break leading 4-0 against Romania.
The final goal of the game came just after the 90th minute of play from Spaniard Mikel Oyarzabal who scored after and assist from Sergio Busquets, that saw him send the ball into the bottom left corner of the goal, after a beautiful connection with the ball off his left foot from outside the box.
Spain ended the game beating the Romanians 5-0 in a superb display off football showing why it is they finished top of their group in this round of the Euro 2020 qualifiers.
The three-time European champions return next year as they continue their campaign in search of another European title to their already impressive track record. Spain won 8 out of their 10 group matches, drawing only 2 games in the process.
