The poor performance of the club has resulted in massive outcries from fans and onlookers alike with the #EmeryOut trending on social media  platforms.

Last nights Europa loss may have been the nail in the coffin for the manager as fans booed him at the end of the match. Fans were so intent on his removal from the club, they even applauded when Frankfurt midfielder Daichi Kamada scored against the home team.

Just the empty seats in the Emirates stadium was enough of a sign to management that supporters were no longer interested in supporting the club as long as Emery was there. This lead to an emergency meeting being held today by the board to decide his fate.

Arsenal find themselves ranked at 8th place in the Premiership League, 8 points away from qualifying for the Champions League.

It was  “due to results and performances not being at the level required” that led to Emery’s sacking according to a club statement.

Former Arsenal winger Freddie Ljungberg will step in temporarily as manager while the board seeks a more permanent replacement.

“The search for a new head coach is under way and we will make a further announcement when that process is complete.” was the statement released by the Arsenal Club
