Tottenham Through To UEFA Knockout Round After 4-2 Win over Olympiakos

Tottenham have now qualified for the UEFA Champions League knockout round after an amazing comeback that saw them beating visiting Olympiakos 4-2 last night.

Mourinho guiding his squad through a very dramatic night that began with the Tottenham home side conceding a goal as early as the 6th minute when Olympiakos striker Youssef El-Arabi.

The poor defensive posture of the Tottenham side continued throughout the first half and gave way to a second goal from Olympiakos defender Ruben Semedo who netted a close range shot from a corner.

Tottenham were able to take advantage of a disastrous mistake by Olympiakos defender Yassine Meriah when he missed an easy intercept that saw the ball going past him then right across the goal into the waiting path of Tottenham’s Dele Alli who pumped the ball right into the Olypmpiakos net giving Tottenham their first goal of the match just a few seconds into the first half stoppage time.

Both team when into the halftime break with Olympiakos leading 1-2.

A fast taken throw in by Spur’s defender Serge Aurier that caught the Olympiakos team off guard is what gave way to Harry Kane scoring Tottenham’s second goal of the match leveling the game at 2-2 just five minute after the start of the second half.

Serge was later rewarded for his contribution to Spurs first goal as he scored Tottenham’s third goal of the night in the 73rd minute of play thanks to a cross in the visitors penalty area.

Tottenham skipper decided to end the game with a bang as he headed in a free-kick from Eriksen to guarantee’s Tottenham’s place in the Champions League knockout round as they ended the game with a 4-2 victory over Olympiakos.
