Crystal Palace were able to move up on the Premiership log to 5th place after a 1-0 victory over Bournemouth even though they played most of the game with 10 men.
Mamadou Sakho was sent off on the 19th moinute of play after a dangerously high tackle on Bournemouth’s Adam Smith.
Bournemouth were unable to take advantage of this opportunity as the side rarely tested the Palace defense.
Philip Billing came close with a shot on goal which unfortunately was directed straight to Palace goalkeeper Vicente Guaita just before the end of the first half.
As the second half continued, both sides put on a fair performance but were unable to make any worth wild attacks on goal.
Crystal Palace’s luck changed in the 76th minute of play as Schlupp managed to work his way through the Bournemouth defense and score the goal of the only goal of the match.
The game ended with Crystal Palace beating the visitors 1-0. palace now find themselves at 5th place with 21 points just one point ahead of Tottenham.
