New England Patriots Booed As They Go Down 23-16 To Kansas City Chiefs

New England Patriots found themselves being booed by fans as they went on to hand Kansas City Chiefs their fourth AFC West Title after they lost 23-16.

Although still top of the AFC East table, the Patriots have now dropped behind the Ravens who now top the Division (11-2).  This also marks the Patriots second consecutive lost having recently lost to Houston Texans.

Although Tom Brady’s side found themselves being booed off the pitch at the half time break as they trailed the Chiefs 20-7, their defeat can also be contributed to a number of controversial officiating errors that worked against them throughout the game.

Most notably if which came in the fourth quarter as Patriots wide receiver N’Keal Harry was officiated as being forced out of bounds before his touchdown dive.

Upon video review, it was clear to see that Harry was in fact in-bounds but Patriots coach Bill Belichick had already exhausted his challenges meaning the call was allowed to stand.

The game started off well in favour of the Patriots as Julian Edelman scored the first touch down for the Patriots. The Chiefs then took over the show scoring 23 consecutive points well into the third quarter.

Brandon Bolden was able to reduce the Chiefs winning gap with a touchdown in the third quarter off a run 10 yard out bringing the score to 23-13.

The fourth quarter saw the Patriots clinch a field goal bringing them to 23-16.  The Patriots come back seemed inevitable as Tom Brady drove the Patriots 68 yards to the Kansas 5 yard line.

Fourth down and a minute remaining on the clock, Brady almost completed the Patriots comeback when a pass to Julian Edelmanwho was readily awaiting in the endzone was broken up by Chiefs cornerback Bashaud Breeland.
