“Some of the players played their first minutes with me. Some of the players like Foyth was the first time he played.”

“It was important to collect some information, information you normally collect in the season or in pre-season. I just arrived and I need information.”

“I am happy with the decisions I made, I hope our supporters understand what I did. Internally we made this decision and we think it was the best decision for the team.” Jose said in the post-game interview explaining his strategy for the night.

After their 7-2 loss to Bayern in their previous encounter, Spurs were now just looking to be able to finish the game with their pride still intact.

Bayern scored their first goal of the game in the 14th minute thanks to Kingsley Coman. Ryan Sessegnon hit back with the Spurs equaliser 6  minutes later with a powerful shot that found its way past Bayern keeper Manuel Neuer.
