Drew Brees went on to break 2 NFL records as the New Orleans Saints went on to win their 11th NFC game against Indianapolis Colts 34-7 on Monday night.
Brees completed an amazing 29 out of 30 passing on the night with a pass accuracy of 96.7% breaking Philip Rivers’ single-game pass completion record of 96.6% set on 25 November 2018 against the Arizona Cardinals.
Brees also went on to pass Peyton Manning’s record of 539 career touchdown passes when he reached 541 total career touchdown passes on the night. Brees broke the record as he completed his 20th pass of the night.
“It was special, everything about the night”
“It makes you shake your head. I’m not sure how we got here. It makes your whole life and career flash before your eyes because I never thought I would have the chance to be a part of something like this” Brees went on to say in his post-game interview.
The Saints now join San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks and the Green Bay Packers as they go 11-3 and are top of the NFC South division. They are already through to the playoffs with this win securing them home-field playoff advantage.
