New Life Expected In 2020 EPL With The Signing Of Ancelotti and Arteta

With the end of the first half of the EPL season fast approaching, the signing of Ancelotti and Arteta may breath new life into Everton and Arsenal who have been struggling in recent weeks.

With such a torrid start to the season that has seen a number of managerial sacking right across the board, we can only hope that the action in the second half of the season will mainly be concentrated on the field where it is supposed to be.

The instability brought with the sacking s of managers such as Marco Silva from Everton, Unai Emery from Arsenal and Javi Gracia from Watford have had the teams in a sort of limbo state and the impact has been clearly seen in their performances…or lack of should I say.

It s true that many of these sacking may have been necessary given the already deteriorating states of the clubs but hopefully, the new change in leadership and the stability they bring will allow the teams to get back on track and focus on Premier League progression.

With said to officially be Announcing the appointment of Carlo Ancelotti as their new manager after their lawyers concluded talks with Napoli on Thursday. The club has been under the helm of interim manager Duncan Ferguson since sacking Marco Silva on 5 December and it has taken them over 2 weeks to finalize on his replacement.

The club has announced that Ferguson will still be in charge as Everton face-off with Arsenal the weekend.

Arsenal

Arsenal is expected to be announcing Mikel Arteta as their new manager as early as today after they postponed a press conference that was meant to be lead by current interim manager Freddie  Ljungberg.

With both managers set to come in before the season break, it is hoped this will give them a chance to use the transfer window to restructure the teams the way they believe will best suit their visions as they move forward.

Everton

Ancelotti has already worked in a guarantee into his contract that he will be allowed to purchase 2 top players during the winter transfer window. He has reportedly been offered a £14 million contract earning an extra £2.5 million top of his  £11.5 million a year deal if he keeps Everton out of relegation and in the Premier League.

This would make him one of the top three highest-paid football managers in England.
