Everton has released pictures of the estimated £500m Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium that is supposed to be opened to the public in time for the 2023/24 football season.
The stadium is expected to seat 52,000 people. This would make it the eighth biggest stadium in the Premier League based on capacity. There are however plans to increase capacity to 62,000.
According to the club spokesman, Goodison Park which is the current home of Everton since 1892 will be converted to:
“high-quality, affordable housing, a multi-purpose health centre, community-led retail and leisure spaces and a youth enterprise zone”
The stadium is to be built on the docks of River Mersey in Vauxhall Liverpool.
The stadium has been designed to preserve the heritage of the dock.
