The LA Lakers continue their dominance in the NBA Western Conference table as they went on to beat Dallas Mavericks 108-95 with Davis scoring 23 points.

The LA Lakers dominated the game coming out on top in all but the final quarter of the game.

Anthony Davis led his team to victory scoring 23 points 9, rebounds and 4 assists.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope followed up with 19 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists.

LeBron James came through with a double-double scoring 13 points, 6 rebounds and 13 assists. LeBron reached a  career record 9000 assists during the game making him the 9th player in league history to accomplish this milestone.

Dallas Mavericks are now 5th in the NBA Western Conference going 21-11 having only won  5 of their last 10 games.

The Mavericks were dealt an early blow in the game as Tim Hardaway was sent to the bench in the first quarter after suffering a hamstring injury.

Luka Doncic led the Mavericks with 19 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists. Delon Wright put in a worthwhile effort posting 14 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists.

At the end of the day, the Lakers shooting accuracy led to the Mavericks downfall as they sank 48.7 % of their field goals (38/78) against  the Mavericks 36% (32/89)

The Mavericks did better on free throw conversions getting in 90% of their shots (18/20) against the Lakers’ 82.1% (23/28).

The Lakers go on to face Phoenix Suns on Thursday 2 January 2020 as their first game of the New Year.
