Paul Pogba will not be leaving Manchester United during the January transfer window but whether he stays with Man Utd beyond the season will be determined by how well they perform during the next half of the year.
Pogba already announced in June that he was looking to leave Manchester United.
Later in July his agent Mino Raiola announced that he was looking for another club for his client.Paul Pogba hasn’t been playing since he injured his ankle in September, only making his return to the pitch on the 22 December when Manchester United lost to Watford.
Although Man Utd lost that match 2-0, Pogba’s influence in the second half of the game was very impressional. This has gotten Man Utd manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer trying to avoid the loss of such a valuable player.
Mino Raiola has come out saying that although Pogba is committed to Man Utd, he can not remain there if United do not get back to their former glory as his client should be with a club capable of winning trophies.
When asked on Pogba’s future at Man Utd as to whether he would still be there in a years time , Raiola went on to say :
“Yes I can, but in a club that I hope fights for the league and hopefully the Champions League.”
“I’m not a fan of Manchester United but I have a very direct interest.”
“As long as Paul is in Manchester United, he wants to win trophies with Manchester United. That’s the kind of player he is and he will not act differently.
“Like Ole’s saying, it’s a work in progress now this club. He says he’s working on a team for next year. Let’s hope that it goes well for him because the world needs Manchester United on the top.
“Clearly they are not where they think they should be.”
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that Pogba will remain with the team at least until the end of the season. As of what the future holds for the 26-year-old player, Man Utd’s results in the remaining half of the season will determine his fate.
