Dallas Mavericks Win 98-117 Against Philadelphia 76ers

The Dallas Mavericks are now 19-9 after a 98-117 win over the Philadephia 76ers put them in 4th place in the Western Conference.

This is the 3rd straight loss for the Sixers who are now 20-10. The Sixers fell short on all but the second quarter of the games having only outplayed the  MAvericks by one point with 29-28.

The 76ers

The Sixers were only able to convert 10/34 (29.4%)  attempts from behind the arc whilst pulling off 38/90 (42.2%) field goals.

Sixers Joel Embiid put up a hearty fight for his team scoring 33 points with 17 rebounds and 2 assists.

The Mavericks

The Mavericks, on the other hand, seem to be dominating on the road have scored 14/33 (42.4%) from behind the arc and 43/83 (51.8%) field goals.

Tim Hardaway Jr led the Mavericks to victory putting away 27 points in the game with 4 rebounds and 1 assist.

Kristaps Porzingis followed up with 22 points with an amazing career-high 18 rebounds.

Sixers head coach Brett Brown has marked his sides struggle against the zone as being their downfall, going on to say

“I think that the influence that our inability lately — to be put on our back heels because of the zone — has crept into our defense, our psyche, our spirit, and I can’t stand it,”

“This is not who we are.”
