Ole Gunnar Solskjaer side Manchester United do not seem to be improving as they came out with a 2-2 draw against Aston Villa over the weekend.
Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish was put Villa in the lead just 11 minutes into the game with a amazing strike off a cross from team mate Anwar El Ghazi, that saw the ball soar past Man Utd goalkeeper David de Gea who watched helplessly as the ball found its way into the far right corner of the goals.
Aston Vill a looked like they would be heading into the halftime break with their 0-1 lead in tat until luck came into a play for the home team as Marcus Rashford’s header rebounded off the side bar and was deflected into goal off Aston goalkeeper Tom Heaton’s back in the 42nd minute of the game.
Villa’s Trezeguet tried to make up for the teams earlier mistake with a wonderful blast shot on goals in the 43rd minute that was that was narrowly saved by de Gea. Both teams went into the half time break with the score level at 1-1.
The second half began with Manchester scoring a goal in the 64th minute of play as a cross saw Aston Villa’s Wesley Moraes nip the ball into the path of Manchester’s Victor Lindelöf of nicely headed the ball into goal putting the Man Utd side into the lead for the first time.
Villa were quick to respond with an equalizer when Mings broke away from a group of Man Utd defenders and flicked the ball off his left foot into the Manchester United goal.
The Manchester Untied side were up in arms claiming offside but a VAR check by the referee came back confirming the goal. This equalizer led to the game ending with both teams leveled at 2-2.
Jack Grealish’s amazing performance though out the game earned him the Man of the Match.
Man United remain at 9th place and are now level with Burnley and Crystal Palace on 18 points.
