England made three changes to their line up with Burns and Archer being dropped due to injuries sustained and Bairstow handing the reigns back to Pope who had to sit out the first test due to an illness.

England who are coming off their first loss in the Test series were first up to bat.

Zak Crawley and Dom Sibley opened up for the English tourists. England got off to a very slow start having only scored 8 runs after 2 overs.

They then dropped their first wicket in the third over as Zak Crawley was caught out by Quinton de Kock off a wonderful delivery from Philander.

Sibley was the next Englishman to fall at the hand ds of the South Africans as he was caught out by Quinton de Kock off a delivery from Rabada in the 25th over.

Skipper Joe Root stepped in and helped the visitors knock some runs on the scoreboard having posted 35 runs before being caught out by De Kock b Nortje.

South Africa who won the first test by 107-run will be looking at dismissing the tourist  as early as possible to secure a win in this leg of the series.

IF the English wickets continue to fall at this pace, the tourists may end up losing this leg of the series just the way they did the first.
