Anthony Davis 8 blocks almost made him become the first Laker since Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in 1975, to get a triple-double including blocks.

The Lakers amazing defense allowed them to dominate most of the game, although they did lose their rhythm for a while when LeBron James was sent to the bench with the Lakers 90-81 allowing for the Detroit Pistons to catch up with a 9-1 run.

James was immediately thrown right back into the mix of things before theĀ  Pistons staged a major upset. LeBron ended the night with a triple-double scoring 21 points with 14 rebounds and 11 assists.

The Pistons had Derrick Rose to thank for narrowing the gap on the Lakers lead as he came of the bench and posted an impressive 28 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists.

Although the LA Lakers win moves them 28-7, the game once again highlighted one of the team’s greatest reoccurring weaknesses, maintaining a positive rhythm without star player LeBron James.
