Liverpool push further ahead in Premier League with 64 points as they continue their undefeated campaign with a 2-0 win over Man United. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his squad were brought down thanks to Salah and Virgil van Dijk who Liverpool to Victory.

With Manchester United already missing Marcus Rashford, Mctominay and Pogba, Manchester already had a battle ahead of them coming into their game against the Premier League front runners.

Virgil van Dijk scored the first goal for Liverpool putting the home team in the lead 14 minutes into play with a wonderful header off Alexander-Arnold’s cross.

At the 25 minute mark, it looked like Fermino had another goal for Liverpool but Manchester United players and supporters were up in arms claiming that Van Dijk and fouled De Gea in the build-up to the goal.

The referee went to consult with the VAR leading to the goal being disallowed after the claims were confirmed. The score remained 1-0 to Liverpool.

Liverpool were thwarted once again when a goal from Wijnaldum was disallowed when the linesman flag went up in the 36th minute.

The Red Devils seemed to have become unedged and distracted after the challenge on their keep De Gea by van Dijk.

Pereira then went on to miss a golden opportunity to put Man U on the scoresheet and level the game as he was unable to reach a half-volley from Wan-Bissaka.

Liverpool went into the halftime break with a 1-0 lead over Man United.

3 minutes into the second half saw Salah missing a golden opportunity to put Liverpool into a comfortable lead as he missed the goal from the six-yard-line.

Liverpool continued their attack play on Man United’s goals with Mae taking a shot just a minute later but sent the ball off target.

Henderson followed up with another attempt for the home team that saw the ball hitting the post after De Gea narrowly managed to deflect the shot.

Anthony Martial was the next United player to miss a chance to equalize for the visitors as he somehow managed to send his attempted shot from 12 yards out flying over the goal.

Manchester began to pick up momentum and put pressure on Liverpool as the game neared its end but it was too little too late.

Just as the game was drawing to an end after the 90th-minute mark Liverpool hit an amazing counter attack of United’s corner that saw Salah breaking clear and going on to score Liverpool’s second and final goal of the game just before the final whistle.

Liverpool won the game 2-0 and remain undefeated this season and should they continue undefeated throughout the rest of the season the will join Arsenal elite “invincibles” in English football history.
