Tottenham Spurs have made a move for Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud as they seek to strengthen their front line. The former Arsenal striker is receiving a lot of backlash from Chelsea and Arsenal supporters for his lack of loyalty switching between London’s top clubs.

Tottenham Spurs have been given £10million to spend on a striker before the close of the January transfer window as they need to desperately replace Harry Kane who is out until March due to a tear in his left hamstring.
Spurs have offered the former Arsenal striker an 18-month contract as his current contract with Chelsea is set to expire this Summer.
Frank Lampard may have a few things to say about this transfer as he now has to deal with an injured Tammy Abraham who received a knock during Chelsea’s last encounter with Arsenal which ended in a 2-2 draw.
As the team is tightly pressed with options, it is likely that Frank Lampard would like to hold onto Giroud until the end of the season.
With only 7 appearances and 1 goal for Chelsea this past season, Giroud is far from his former glory days at Arsenal that saw him scoring 105 goals in 253 appearances.
