Premier League leaders Liverpool are on the verge of signing a new kit deal with Nike that could surpass the record £750 million deal Man Utd signed with Adidas in 2014.
Jurgen Klopp has lifted Liverpool to greater heights since his reign as manager with the club winning the 2019 European Cup, 2019 European Super Cup, 2019 FIFA Club World Cup.
They are still currently in contention for the FA Cup, UEFA Championship and are well on their way to winning their first Premier League title since 1990.
This list of achievements have not gone unnoticed as they may be able to take another title soon as having the highest paying kit deal contract should negotiations with Nike go through.
Following close behind them is Real Madrid who have a 10-year contract with Adidas to the value of £98 million per season.
Currently, Liverpool have a £45 million contract with New Balance. New Balance have a clause in their contract to extend only if they can match a new supplier’s offer.
The potential new contract would bring some substantial extra monies into the Red’s coffers should it go through.
The Reds performance in this year’s Premier League title race will be a crucial point in their negotiations with Nike as well as their performances in the other competitions.
Given the recent spate of results that Liverpool have achieved under Jurgen Klopp and the road he has them on, it may not just be the Premier League title that has the Liverpool board smiling all the way to the bank this year.
