Man United suffered a 0-2 defeat to Burnley at home, raising the question, who is to blame for their current failures as a club, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Pogba or are the players just in need of a break?

Wednesday nights Premier League encounter with Burnley where Man United lost 0-2 for the first time against Burnley at home is a clear indication of the sinking ship that Man United has become.

It seems that when Sir Alex Ferguson left the club in 2013, he left with the operating manual because since then David Moyes, Louis Van Gaal, Jose Mourinho and now Ole Gunnar Solskjaer have all failed to sail the ship in the right direction.

The booes that echoed around Old Trafford from whatever few Manchester United supporters that actually remained till the final whistle are a clear indication that something needs to be done….NOW!!

The Paul Pogba Conundrum

Critics have come out trying to put the blame on Paul Pogba for bringing down the morale of the players and for showing a lack of enthusiasm for the opportunity he has been given to play for Manchester  Somehow how he was even to blame for the Reds 0-2 loss last night to Burnley even though he didn’t even play.

Paul Pogba’s injuries have kept him on the sideline most of the season but it is clear to see that what is truly paining the talented Frenchman is the fact that Manchester is not living up to the standards of the club he left behind in the  Sir Alex Ferguson era.

It is no wonder that his agent Mino Raiola has expressed on countless occasions that his client’s future at Man United is uncertain and can only be determined by where Man United find themselves at the end of the season.

Of course, his motivation to play has been eroded given the clubs current standings and who could blame him for wanting to bail on a  sinking ship before it takes him down along with it.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Like A Lost Captain Desperately Search For Land

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is bearing the brunt of the clubs’ recent failures and with no solution in sight, his days at the club may be numbered.

Ole’s inability to motivate the players as well as find solutions to the problems plaguing the club are but a few of the general problems being faces by United. Lets face facts, he just doesn’t have that special “je ne sais quoi” quality that Ferurson oozed out and used to get the players and fans riled up and hunting for the trophies like bloodhounds.

With the Reds having lost more games then they’ve won this year, its time to face the truth hit the nail right on the head by saying that Ole might just not be the best fit for Man United.

Festive Fixture Dilemna

Another factor that has had dire consequences on Man United’s performance of late has been the repercussions of the over strenuous holiday fixture schedule. Jurgen Klopp is just one amongst many high profile Premier League managers that have hit out in condemnation of the holiday fixture scheduling and the devasting results it leaves for both clubs and players alike.

‘As it stands 74 players were injured between 21 December – 2 January.’

With Manchester missing Paul Pogba, Scott McTominay, Marcus Rashford all to injury, the team are in dire need of some strong signings before the transfer window closes. Their sign Bruno Fernandes is still up in the air with Sporting Lisbon demanding more money than Man United are willing to fork out and as the transfer window closes, United may find themselves in a very precarious position as the season draws to an end.

The fact of the matter is, no matter who or what is to blame for the clubs current predicament that saw them losing 0-2 to Burnley last night, something needs to change in the club and if nothing is done about the situation United find themselves in right now, they may not even find themselves qualifying for Europa next year let alone Champions League.
