Tottenham spent most of the first half on the defensive as Manchester City dominated the first hour of the game

A controversial encounter in which Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling was lucky enough to only get a yellow card after he caught Deli Ali with his studs. This decision was not received well by Jose Mourinho who wen to complain about it after the match.

Manchester City’s woes did not end there as just 5 minutes before the end of the second half, Raheem Sterling was taken off the pith due to a muscle injury.

This loss meant that Man City were unable to extend the 2 point gap between them and 3rd place Leicester city who are currently on 49 points.

If he’s new signing continues in his current form, Jose Mourinho may just be to push Tottenham into Champions League qualification as they are currently just 4 points behind 4th place Chelsea who currently have 41 points
