The Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder saga will now be a trilogy feature as the former World Boxing Council Heavyweight champion has called for a rematch scheduled for June 20
According to a clause in their contracts, Deontay Wilder had until July 18 to exercise his right to a rematch.
Tyson Fury and his promoter Frank Warren had offered Wilder a multi-million-pound deal not to call on the rematch clause in order for Fury to take on the unbeaten 4 title carrying Anthony Joshua instead.
The trilogy match will now take place on July 18 and will be happening live at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in Vegas as reported by US media.
Deontay has decided that his pride can not be bought as he seeks to reclaim his World Boxing Council heavyweight title back from Fury.
This now means that should the Fury vs Joshua fight happens, it can only take place later this year between November and December.
However, now both Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury will have to remain unbeaten in their upcoming fights for them to both remain undefeated for the fight later on in the year.
Anthony Joshua is set to fight Kubrat Pulev on June 20 while Tyson Fury will defend his newly won title against Deontay Wilder on July 18 in what will most likely be the final chapter in their trilogy saga.
