Kaizer Chiefs beat Orlando Pirates 1-0 over the weekend at the PSL Soweto Derby at FNB Stadium. Kaizer Chiefs now have a 7 point lead on second place Mamelodi Sundowns.
Even with the disappointment of the Soweto Derby, Orland Pirates have not given up on the PSL title race.
This was the first PSL loss suffered by Buccaneer coach Josef Zinnbauer since joining Orlando Pirates in December 2019.

With 8 games remaining for Orlando Pirates and only 9 points away from the PSL front runners, the race is far from over.
The 49-year-old German coach is already anticipating his next encounter with AmaKhosi going on to say:
“It’s not like we come from first place, we come from down place. We grow up. I hope next time we have improvement and we have a good squad for the Derby.”
Second place Mamelodi Sundowns will be one of the major obstacles that need to be overcome by both teams in their race for the title.
