In Exactly 2 weeks, Liverpool have gone from being undefeated to having been beaten in all competition ending their undefeated run in the Premier League as well as bringing to an end their hopes of adding the FA Cup to their trophy cabinet this season.

Already having lost to Atletico Madrid in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League encounter, followed by the surprising defeat to Watford in the Premier League, one can only wonder what must be going through Jurgen Klopp’s mind right now.

This will be the biggest win of Frank Lampard’s career since becoming a manager at Chelsea as he takes a huge bite out of Liverpool who were already left wounded after their defeat to Watford over the weekend

Willian put the Blues in the lead in the 13th minute of the game with a powerful shot from outside the box that saw  Spanish goalkeeper Adrian conceding the first goal of the game and giving Chelsea an early lead as Willian’s shot bounced right of Adrian and into the goals.

Kepa Arrizabalaga must be commended for keeping a clean sheet as he made some wonderful saves before the end of the first half to keep his side infront.

Ross Barkley came through to score the second goal for Chelsea in the 64th minute. He caught the Liverpool backline asleep basically making it all the way to the Liverpool box unchallenged before smashing the ball in for a goal.

The hosts are now through to the next stage of the FA Cup with Chelsea fans going ecstatic over the win while Jurgen Klopp heads back to the drawing board where he has to now focus on keeping Liverpool in the Champions League as they face Atletico Madrid next week Wednesday on the 11th of March.
