Defending champions Australia are through to the women’s T20 World Cup final after knocking out South Africa in the semis. They now face India, who qualified without having even faced a ball in the semi-finals against England.
Australia are T20 World Cup defending champions having won the cup a record 4 times since the inauguration of the tournament.
Australia played out the full 20 overs setting a score of 134/5 for the South Africa to chase, which was revised to 98 using the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern method.

South Africa who were hoping to make their first appearance in the T20 World Cup final were only able to make 92/5 meaning that Australia won the game by 5 wickets.
England skipper Meg Lanning came one run short of a half-century batting 49 not out as Australia batted first after South Africa won the toss.
Beth Mooney followed up with 28 runs before being bowled out by Nadine de Klerk who took a total of 3 wickets in the game.
Laura Wolvaardt let the scoresheet for South Africa making 41 runs not out. Sune Luus was next on the scoresheet with 21 runs before delivery from Megan Schutt led to her being caught out by Beth Mooney.
Australia will now face India int he finals on Sunday. This will be the first time India have made it through to the final stage of the tournament.

India remains undefeated in the tournament this year, having had 2 of their games cancelled due to ran allowing them to progress through based on ranking.
The last time the two sides faced each other was during the group stages on Friday 21 February where India beat Australia by 17 runs.
