The Six Nations women’s rugby match between Scotland and France has been postponed after a Scotland player tested positive for the Coronavirus. Seven teammates and management have also been quarantined for precautionary reasons.

Scottish Rugby made the following announcement:
“This decision has been taken together with Scottish Rugby, the French Rugby Federation (FFR) and Six Nations,”
“The Six Nations CEO has been in constant contact with Scottish Rugby and is in full support of this decision. The Scottish Government has also been briefed.”
“We are working with the Scottish Government in continuing to observe and follow NHS advice.”

It is still unclear where the player may have been contaminated with the Coronavirus but with the team recently having travelled to Italy and returning on February 23, speculation is that is when the incident happened.
The Six Nations men’s match will still continue as scheduled on Sunday. England have already postponed their game with Italy in the wake of the virus outbreak.
