Superstars To Miss Out On WWE Wrestlemania 36 Due To COVID-19

The annual WWE main event is scheduled to take place in April but due to various health issues and the risk posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, four top superstars may not be participating at Wrestlemania 36.

The much anticipated WWE Wrestlemania 36 is starting to lose its hype as four superstars will not be competing due to the current COVID-19 pandemic.

The annual WWE main event is scheduled to take place in April but due to various health issues and the risk posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, four top superstars may not be participating at Wrestlemania 36.

The main event which was meant to take place between Goldberg and former WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns has had to be called off. Roman Reigns suffers from Leukaemia, meaning that he has a high risk of contracting COVID-19 with his already compromised immune system.

This has forced the fan favourite to have to pull out of the event forcing organisers to now have Goldberg facing off against Braun Strowman in the main event.

The Miz has also been withdrawn from event line up due to an undisclosed illness. The SmackDown Tag Team Championship belt was meant to have been put on the line as John Morrison and The Miz were expected to take on Usos and the New Day at Wrestlemania 36.

The other tag team matchup that looks like it will have to be scratched is the Women’s Tag Team Title triple threat match. Asuka has not yet been cleared to participate in the Wrestlemania event.

Asuka and Kairi Sane were scheduled to defend their title in triple threat match against Nikki Cross and Alexa Bliss as well as the tag-team duo of Beth Phoenix & Natalya.

Daniel Bryan is another WWE star suffering from an autoimmune disease making it very risky for him to perform at the main event.

He was meant to face off against Sami Zayn for the Intercontinental Championship but it is highly likely that he will follow Roman Reigns example and not jeopardise his health as those with already compromised immune systems run a higher risk of not recovering from COVID-19.
