The 2nd leg of the UEFA Champions League continues today with RB Leipzig hosting Tottenham Hotspurs to see which team will progress through to the quarter-finals.
RB Leipzig go into the match with a 1-0 aggregate advantage after defeating Tottenham 0-1 away on February 19.
Jose Mourinho is going to have a tough task in front of him given the calibre of player he will be without in today’s 2nd leg match.
With Harry Kane still out along with Moussa Sissoko, Ben Davies, Juan Foyth and Son Heung-min, the list of options available open to Mourihno is very thin.
Never the less, Mourinho is confident that his side can pull off the comeback needed tonight in order to progress through to the next round.
As much as he may not be impressed with Tanguy Ndombele’s performance against Burnley on Saturday this past weekend, he may have no option but to give the Frenchman another chance today.
The midfielder will have to prove his worth to both Jose Mourinho and Tottenham fans after a terrible first half that saw him singled out and heavily criticized by the Tottenham manager after the game.
This will be the first time RB Leipzig host an English team at home in competitive play. If successful tonight, it will be the second time RB Leipzig have progressed as far as the quarter-final round of any major European competition.
The pressure is definitely going to be on for Mourinho, who has not won a single game across all competitions since their UEFA Champions League defeat to RB Leipzig
