"I was completely caught off guard when I found out that these passports were not valid,"

Former  Barcelona football legend Ronaldinho and his brother Robert de Assis Moreira, are hoping they will be allowed to return to Brazil after spending two months detention in Paraguay for using forged passports.

Ronaldinho claims that he was unaware that the passports he and his brother were issued were fake as he told the Paraguayan ABC newspaper:

The former Barcelona star claims that the pair received the passports from the same sponsors that had organised the charity work that had brought them to Paraguay in the first place.

Ronaldinho and his brother have been on house arrest at the Palmarogag Hotel after posting a $1.6 million bail.

As much as the Brazilians are eager to go back home, it is highly unlikely that they will be getting their wish anytime soon as 18 people have already been arrested in connection with the case while the investigators have 6 months to conclude their investigations into the case.
