South Korea football caused quite the buzz as K-League FC Seoul was fined US$81,000 for using sex dolls to fill the stands during a behind closed door football match.
K-League officials fined FC Seoul for having “deeply humiliated fans”. The fine of US$81,000 is a new record for the league just to set an example and show just how much the incident brought the K-League into disrepute.
Club officials for the club claim that they did not know that the mannequins being used in the stands were sex dolls although the K-League did state that the club “could have easily recognised their use using common sense and experience”.

K-league representatives went on to say: “The controversy over this ‘real doll’ incident has deeply humiliated and hurt women fans (and) damaged the integrity of the league,”.
The dolls were distributed throughout the stadium with placards and t-shirts displaying the sex-toy seller’s logo. Since the South Koreafootall league resumed on May 8, games have been played behind closed doors using placards, banners and posters to help fill up the empty stadiums.
South Korea is not the first country to try to improve the atmosphere in their stadiums as games are played behind closed doors.
