The Denver Nuggets overcame a 19-point second-half deficit to beat the Los Angeles Clippers and take the Western Conference semi-final to game seven.
The Los Angeles Clippers secured 10 consecutive misses in the third quarter, allowing Denver to cut the points gap and take charge to win 111-98.
Nikola Jokic scored 34 points to help force a series decider on Tuesday.
“We don’t have pressure,” Jokic said.
“ All the pressure is on them. To us it’s just another game seven”
The Denver Nuggets needed at least seven matches to overcome Utah Jazz after winning match 3-1 in the last round and now they became the first club since 1970 Los Angeles Lakers to force multiple deciders in the same NBA play-offs run.
If the Denver Nuggets win on Tuesday to set up a Western Conference final when they face Lakers, Denver would become the first side to recover from a 3-1 loss for the second time in play-offs.
The Los Angeles Clippers are aiming to reach a first conference final in their 50-year history.
“Couldn’t buy a basket” said Lakers star Kawhi Leonard after the defeat at Disney World in Orlando.
“ it was beautiful,” said Clippers coach Doc Rivers. “Then we stopped moving the ball, stopped playing. That’s what let them get back in the game.”
“We clearly have the right formula. We just lost it. We just lost our peace.”
