England Vs India: Shubman Gill, Washington Sundar And Avesh Khan Out Injured

After recovering from Covid-19, wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant has rejoined the squad in England, while bowling coach Bharat Arun, Wriddhiman Saha, and Abhimanyu Easwaran have completed their period of isolation.

Shubman Gill, Washington Sundar, and Avesh Khan of India have been ruled out of the Test series against England due to injuries.

Shubman Gill, India’s opening batsman, has returned home after suffering a shin injury in the World Test Championship final loss to New Zealand in June.

Sundar will miss the game due to a finger injury, while fast bowler Khan fractured his thumb in a warm-up match.

Prithvi Shaw and Suryakumar Yadav, both batsmen, have been named as replacements.

The pair were called up from India’s second-string squad, which is currently competing in a Twenty20 series in Sri Lanka.
