Mikel Arteta’s team has won four consecutive games in all competitions, and they currently lead their Europa League group as well as the Premier League.

Despite Arteta making eight changes from the side that defeated rivals Tottenham in the north London derby at the weekend, they looked like a confident team in the first half.

Nketiah joined the team and was a threat the entire time. He also scored in the 2-1 victory over Zurich in September.

He scored rightfully when Tierney’s shot rebounded because he had earlier curled the ball narrowly wide and set up Vieira for an effort that hit the crossbar after just 10 minutes.

Vieira was also incredibly outstanding, coming near on numerous occasions, setting up Holding for the goal with a superb assist, and scoring on his own after a brilliant play by Gabriel Jesus.

Arsenal might have easily increased their lead, but captain Granit Xhaka had a free-kick deflected over the crossbar and another chance stopped by goalkeeper Nikita Haikin.

In the second half, Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt grew into the game and posed a threat, but Arsenal goalkeeper Matt Turner was not tested enough, and they lacked a clinical edge.

Arsenal will need to be at their best again when they travel to Norway for a second meeting next week, as Arteta demanded more consistency after the game.

“I’m overjoyed with the win, six points, and clean sheet.” “However, we lacked connection among the players, as well as consistency and dominance throughout the game,” he told BT Sport.

“There were eight changes that you could feel. We looked very dangerous in the final third, and the goals we scored were good.

“We had to make changes because we could see a few players had a different intensity, not enough exposure in terms of minutes.”

With two wins in two group games, Arsenal now leads Group A by two points over PSV Eindhoven, whom they face on October 20.
