New Formula 1 Female Racing Category Development In Progress

Formula 1 is developing a new women’s racing category to help female drivers advance to the top of the sport.

The plan is for it to supplement the W Series, which had to cut its season short due to financial difficulties.

The new series is set to premier as early as next year.

Formula 1 declined to comment further, but a spokesperson stated that the company is committed to providing more opportunities for women to advance.

According to F1 insiders, the new category will undoubtedly become a reality, with financial backing in place.

There may be 12-15 seats available, and it is aimed at women over the age of 16.

It is intended to pave the way for rising female talent to reach their full potential.

The W Series’ future is still up in the air. The series’ executive director Catherine Bond-Muir announced that the 2022 championship would end two races early due to funding issues and to give time to secure new funding for 2023.
