Arsenal Stay Top In EPL With Odegaard’s 2 Goals Against Wolves

The only negative for the visitors Arsenal was the early exit of Granit Xhaka, who is due to begin his World Cup campaign with Switzerland in less than a week.

Arsenal extended their lead at the top of the Premier League to five points after Martin Odegaard’s second half two goals to defeat Wolves at Molineux.

Odegaard’s convertion of Fabio Vieira’s low cross from close range was in 10 minutes into the second half, and then drilled in the rebound after Jose Sa had saved Gabriel Martinelli’s low effort 15 minutes from time.

The only negative thing for Arsenal was the early exit of Granit Xhaka, who is due to begin his World Cup campaign with Switzerland in less than a week.

As a result, Arsenal will not only be top on Christmas Day for the first time since 2007, but will also have a significant advantage over nearest rivals Manchester City.

Wolves, on the other hand, have dropped to the bottom as new manager Julen Lopetegui prepares to take over.
