The lights are dimming for Man City as they see their title hopes fade after Wolves pulled off a spectacular comeback win after being 0-2 down in the second half.\r\n\r\nIt was definitely a game filled with all the football drama one could ask for and a title run, from red cards, VAR decisions, penalty retakes, and flung missiles at the pitch.\r\nThe Drama\r\nThe drama began in the 12th minute as Manchester City goalie Ederson was sent off for a foul on Diogo Jota left the visitors down to 10 men. This, however,. did not dampen City's morale.\r\n\r\nThe drama later continued with the VAR being in the limelight firstly contributing to the awarding of a penalty to Man City after Riyad Mahrez was brought down in the Wolves box.\r\n\r\nRaheem Sterling took the penalty for City which was saved by Wolves goalkeeper Rui Patr\u00edcio before the VAR once again decided to intervene calling for a retake of the penalty due to player encroachment.\r\n\r\nRui Patr\u00edcio was able to save the second penalty take however\u00a0 Sterling managed to net the rebound giving Man City the lead 25 minutes into play with on 10 men.\r\n\r\nThe Man City celebrations were marred by missiles being thrown onto the pitch by Wolves supporters\r\n\r\nSterling came back to score his second goal of the game in the second half giving Man City a 0-2 lead over the homes side. At this point, it looked like Man City had the game in hand and were going to walk away with the win.\r\nThe Comeback\r\nThe tables then began to turn on City as Wolves Adama Traore scored a spectacular goal from outside the City box.\r\n\r\nTraore then played assist as he provided the superb cross that allowed teammate Raul Jimenez to score Wolves equalizing goal in the 82nd minute.\r\n\r\nJust when it looked like City would at least walk away with a point after having given away their 2 goal lead, Wolves went on to score their third and final goal of the night as Matt Doherty went on to score in the 89th minute.\r\n\r\nWolves walked away with a well deserved 3-2 win after an amazing comeback in a game filled with all the drama that top-class football could ever offer.\r\nWhere They Now Stand\r\nWolves now move up to 5th place on the Premier League table on 30 points, just 2 shy of Chelsea and spot in the top 4. Man City remain at 3rd as they watch the gap between them and their title hopes grow.
